SI, PERO TIENEN TOFU DOGS?

THE 2 VEGGIE TAMALE CHOICES ARE NICE, BUT EVERY TIME I SEE A GOOD HOTDOG PLACE, I ALWAYS WANT A HOTDOG REALLY BAD, BUT I DON'T EAT MEAT, SO THEN IT'S LIKE A BIG TEASE, AND I THINK, DAMN IT, WHEN IS SOMEONE GOING TO OPEN A PLACE THAT ENTICES US WITH FANCY HOTDOG DISHES AND AT THE SAME TIME, OFFERS VEGGIE VERSIONS OF THEM AS WELL?

That's a good thing to ask them. But It has me wondering if veggie dogs are made from unwanted veggie parts.

what about turkey dogs??? that's why i LOVE hot dog on a stick.

e@v

I've had a turkey dog, but never a Hot Dog on a Stick turkey dog. Fried health food is a contradiction, but Ill try it next time when I'm at the Stick,

These dogs are definitely not vegetarian. They have a "natural casing." I won't go any further than that because if I explain exactly what that means, several vegetarians will run from the room screaming. And several meat eaters will become vegetarian. But for us carnivores, they are the only way to go. SNAP!

I would rate Weeneez fairly high if you like hot dogs. They are probably not deserving of a special trip, but definitely worth it if you are in the downtown area. The best hot dogs in L.A. are probably at The Stand in Encino. Pink's are okay but overrated. Weeneez is probably about as good as Pink's or Tommy's but slightly less messy.

Scott,
If vegans would run from knowing what a natural casing in a hot dog is made of, they would run INTO traffic around Staples Center to avoid the deadly bacon-wrapped dog smothered with green peppers and onions heated over a shallow pan heated by a propane; the tank cleverly hidden by a cardboard box.

Then the vegan's next of kin can justify that the dog caused the death, as the the one committed to be anti-meat gets hit by a season ticket holder driving a Hummer.

As for your list, I would add Scoobys on Hollywood Blvd as a dog of choice.

i believe hot dog on a stick only serves turkeydogs. granted they are deep fat fried and most likely not all turkey, but a girl can dream can't she?

Sha in LA and Shannon - You are both becoming HotDoggerBloggers and I share your fixation on the power franchise "Hot Dog on a Stick".

This California based corn dog mini palace contradicts their only healthy menu offering of turkey dogs done deep fried. Have faith that any small step to make a meal "healthier" is a step nonetheless. If either of you are ever in Santa Monica, do a pilgramage to the original stand found beachside. It adds to the experience of being served the dog of your choice by a California girl in tall whimsical hats, before or after as they beat down lemons in large tubs. Have one for me.

Just repeat the mantra "They ARE 100% turkey. They ARE 100% turkey"
